In modern society their are a few things that we can't live without, a mobile phone, the internet and a vehicle. Unfortunately, these all things that tend to cost a lot of money. Whether it is car maintenance, a faulty windscreen wiper or MOT, at some point within the year you will end up paying out a hefty amount of money for your vehicle, however, do we know how much money we should be paying out?.

Each garage varies in prices, depending on experience, size and location and with each job being individual it is possible for mechanics to name a price. It is currently believe that Britain is suffering from inflated car repair prices, anything up to £95 per hour!.

This price is inflated by around 20%, it is recommended that your should pay £75 per hour for a mechanic for any job. Why not shop around if you feel that the price is too high or even look online for your own parts. Don't let a mechanic rip you off!

You may also want to if possible return to the garage which you took your car to for a MOT. This way you will avoid any nasty shocks and a familiar face can help ease worries.
